This course is designed to teach the importance of lifelong fitness through an array of physical activities such as Power Walking, Water Aerobics, Slide Aerobics, Power Yoga, Tae-Bo/Self-Defense, Figure-Skating etc.. Students will be placing an emphasis on their personal improvement in cardiovascular function. This component of physical fitness will be maintained through goal-setting and participating in a variety of activities that enables one to maintain a certain level of fitness. The focus will be on identifying and describing the benefits of active living as well as factors that affect choices of physical activity for life. This course is open to women only.
